Questions about gnuplot and AquaTerm

Filed under: Uncategorized — cjohnson @ 3:45 pm

I’m hoping someone out there can help me understand this:  I want to install gnuplot on my Mac, and I’ve already installed AquaTerm.  I can’t find a binary for gnuplot anywhere, so I’m installing it through MacPorts.  However, in doing so MacPorts is downloading a lot of Xorg stuff, as well as AquaTerm.  Why can’t it use the AquaTerm I already have installed?  Why’s it need all of the Xorg stuff if I already have Apple’s X11 installed?

  1. Try googling “macintosh gnuplot” and go to the first result, which is a page on my website. On that page there is a link to an official gnuplot binary that you can download, and other information that you might find useful.
